Hello Fans, Friends and Family

Tuesday, June 15th:  This morning Judy and I drove to the Gottberg Brewery Pub in Columbus, NE.  That is where they make a local root beer that I had on tap when we went to Skeeter Barnes for dinner last night in Kearney.  Jeremy, the Brewmaster, gave us a tour of the facilities and showed us how he made the root beer and the brewing process for the many diiferent beers they make.  They also make a red cream soda that is very good.  After the tour we sampled the root beer, cream soda and a couple of the beers on tap.  On our return trip to Callaway, we plan to stop by again and pick up some root beer and beer (if Judy lets me) to have at her reunion celebration.  Gottberg Brew Pub is located at 2804 13th St in Columbus, NE.  Find out more by going to their website at www.dustersrestaurant.com.  After our visit I started my bike ride at 11:00 AM.  At 1:30 PM I had cycled 44 miles and arrived in Fremont, NE.  After I caught up with Judy, she asked Angie, a local lady, about where to find different places around town.  Not only was she able to give us directions, she even had a phone book with her to look up addresses and phone numbers.  We will be staying in Fremont for a few days.  The motorhome is due for an oil change and we need to add window tinting to the replaced windshield.  Judy also has some friends meeting her in Fremont.  This weekend we plan on my cycling to Blaire, NE to meet with Janet and Bob Wallace, who are members of my cycling club, SCOR Cardiac Cyclists ( www.scorccc.com ).  At the present time some of the roads are closed due to flooding.  Hopefully, the floods will recede before this weekend.  On my way there I may meet up and ride with a local bike club, the Omaha Pedalers.  Until then . . .
