Hello Fans, Friends and Family

Sunday, June 20th:  Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.  Today Bob and Janet took us on a tour of Blaire, NE.  The Woodhouse car dealer distribution center in town has thousands of cars parked all along the hillside.  We went to visit the DeSoto Wildlife Sanctuary in Missouri Valley, Iowa.  They had a lot of wildlife displays and a large display of the cargo from a sunken steamship, the “Bertrand” that sank in 1865 and was discovered in 1968.  You could see the Missouri River from large viewing windows.   The river level was very high due to recent heavy rains.  Before returning to their house we could see a lot of storm clouds.  Hope they don’t bring any heavy storms.  Janet is getting ready for a 5-day ride around Nebraska next week and asked me to help her learn how to fix a flat tire.  As she brought her bicycle out of the bedroom, Judy about fell on the floor laughing.  It’s obvious Judy is not a bicyclist at heart.  She just doesn’t understand.  Tomorrow Judy and I will drive back to Callaway for all the celebrations of her high school alumni, pioneer picnic, and the 125th birthday of the town of Callaway.  Until next time . . .
