Hello Fans, Friends and Family

Wednesday, June 30th:  Today I cycled 54 miles to West Des Moines, IA.  Along the way  we visited one of the covered bridges of Madison County.  We visited the Roseman Bridge which is the one that was in the movie “Bridges of Madison County” starring Clint Eastwood.  Nearby they had some corn cribs that are full of corn.  All the corn in the corn cribs are picked with a corn picker and not a combine.  I then continued my ride to West Des Moines.  While Judy waited in Winterset, IA, two bicyclists, Greg & Joe stopped to talk with her.  They are riding their bikes from New Jersey to San Francisco, CA.  As Judy was leaving Winterset she found a sign showing where John Wayne was born.  She went to visit his birthplace and picked up a couple of souvenirs.   Once we arrived in West Des Moines, I met up with my brother, Forey, his wife Susan and her sister Connie Ray.  We had dinner together around a beautiful lake at Jordan Creek Center and had a good time visiting.  Susan and Connie Ray both went home and Forey continued visiting with us for the evening.
