Main St, Huntington Beach (A Group) by wildwes49

Friday, May 13th, 2011:  Today I rode from Huntington Harbour, where I am dog-sitting for a friend of mine.  I met with friends from the A-Group of my cycling club at the cross-over bridge on the San Gabriel River Trail.  We rode to Main Street in Huntington Beach for breakfast, then a quick ride back home.  It was a little faster ride than the last few days and a nice, cool day for a ride.  You can view the details of today’s ride by clicking on  the link at the end of this blog.  Tomorrow, Saturday, May 14, I plan on meeting with other cyclists from my cycling club for our annual Emma Wood Ride. It will be about a60 mile ride from Emma  Wood State Park in Ventura. The ride will take us through Emma Wood State Park to Santa Barbara and back and will include some some great coastal scenery. Helmets are required on all our rides. The ride begins at 8:AM. To get there take Ventura 101 Freeway north and exit right on California for .3 miles. Turn left on Main St for about 2 miles. Park under Eucalyptus trees on right before you enter freeway or campground. Please comment on this post if you plan to attend.
