Tiger’s Run by WildWes49

December 19, 2011

Sunday, 18 December 2011:  Today, 4 of us from our cycling group met with about a dozen other riders who were doing a birthday ride for one of their friends.  The ride started at Liberty Park in Cerritos and headed east on surface streets until we arrived at the Santa Ana River Trail in Anaheim about a mile east of the 57 Freeway near the 91 Freeway and Glassell St.  We then had a nice 16 mile run down the Santa Ana River Trail all the way to Pacific Coast Hwy and another 12 miles before we arrived at Le Creme on Main St, Seal Beach where we stopped to eat and celebrate Tiger’s 48th birthday.  From there we only had about 10 miles left taking the San Gabriel River Trail back to Liberty Park.  At the end of this 52 mile ride my bike computer showed a total of 54 m iles in 3 hours and 48 minutes.  To view the route slip for this ride you can click on the link (Tiger’s Run) below:

Tom’s Farm Ride by wildwes49

December 18, 2011

Saturday, 17 December 2011:  Today we had 16 riders from both the A and B group that met up in Anaheim Hills for a 50 mile ride to Tom’s Farm and back.  On the way there we had a mostly uphill ride with a headwind that made the return trip very easy by comparison.  Tom’s Farm is a unique stopping place with interesting shops and has a festive air to it.  The restaurant there has plenty of room for everyone with both insided and outside dining.  The day was cool with a slight drizzle, but all-in-all everyone seemed to have a good ride.  You can view the details of this ride by clicking on the link below.

Sunday, 11 December 2011:  I had a fun ride today with some friends from the Cycle Paths Bike Club in Cerritos.  We rode through the Disneyland area, past the Angels Stadium and on to the Tustin Foothill area where we had a good climb, stopping at the summit for a quick snack. The full ride was about 50 miles with many miles of beautiful scenery.  You can click on the link below to view the details of this ride.
